Lights On Afterschool isThursday, October 26, 2017

WHAT IS LIGHTS ON? – Lights on Afterschool is the national celebration of quality Afterschool programs and how they keep kids safe, help working families and inspire kids to learn.

This event is sponsored by the Afterschool Alliance. They also create tons of ideas and resources you can use to publicize your event.

WHAT HAPPENS AT LIGHTS ON AFTERSCHOOL? Whatever you want! Your event can be a carnival, a parade, a town hall meeting or a media event. It’s really up to you and what your capacity is to hold an event.

WHY SHOULD I REGISTER MY EVENT? Registering your event with the Afterschool Alliance adds your voice to the chorus of Afterschool programs all across the country. The Alliance uses this data to inform decision makers and funders about both existing programs and the critical need for more. ┬áIt also lets others know that Ohio’s youth, families and communities value Afterschool in our state.
