Tiffany Ways, MSW, LISW-S

Tiffany Ways is currently the Director of a program known as the Hub at The University Church and Reynolds Elementary in Toledo, OH.  Tiffany was instrumental in forging this unique partnership between The University Church and Toledo Public Schools (TPS) and in developing after-school and summer youth programs, parent programs, mental health/health programs, and community resource programs that serve students, families, and whole community. The focus of the Hub program is to transform schools into access points for services that support improved student learning, stronger families and healthier communities. To make these programs possible, Ms. Ways collaborates with an extensive network of institutions of higher education, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, and government agencies.

As the Hub Director, Ms. Ways has been the recipient of several awards, including the 2016 National Association of Social Workers (Ohio Region 1 Social Worker of the Year), the 2016 United Way Community Impact Responsiveness Award, the 2015 Science Alliance for Valuing the Environment (Eco-School Award), and the 2014 Children’s Hunger Alliance Afterschool Program of the Year.

For six years prior to her current position, Ms. Ways worked as a trauma therapist, serving children, adolescents, and families.  Tiffany holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Mercyhurst College.
