This Administrator’s Learning Community is designed for supervisory staff who oversee Afterschool or Summer Learning professionals and who are responsible for selecting the professional development of those staff.

The three goals of this Learning Community are to INCREASE staff retention, INCREASE the understanding and value of learning communities, INCREASE an administrator’s competency to build professional development pathways.

There are three training sessions that are required, as well as several other opportunities to engage that are optional:

SESSION 1 (required)

  • Wednesday, August 7, 2019 @ OTAGS Conference (OHIO APPROVED), OR
  • Watch THIS video (NOT OHIO APPROVED)

SESSION 2 (required)

  • Friday, February 21, 2020 @ OAN Statewide Conference (OHIO APPROVED)

SESSION 3 (required)

  • Wednesday, May 6, 2020 @ OAN Quarterly Meeting


  • Wednesday, November 6, 2019 @ OAN Quarterly Meeting
  • Regional Hub Meetings (TBA)
  • Emails and phone calls

We will definitely want to include your supervisor on all emails and updates. This will add additional supports to your work, lift up your pursuit of PD to enhance your professional skills (with no additional cost to your organization), and to remind them of how completely awesome you are 🙂 We will ask that you kindly provide their name and email. Please make sure to give them a heads up so they know we will be emailing them!
