Mission of OAN :

The Ohio Afterschool Network supports children, youth, families, and communities by advocating and building capacity with a unified voice for sustainable investments in safe, healthy, and nurturing afterschool experiences.

In 2003, Ohio began a three-year project funded by the C.S. Mott Foundation to establish a Statewide Afterschool Network. The network of over 500 after school advocates serves as a vehicle to bring together a number of systems and stakeholders, including policymakers, educators, parents, and service providers.
